STATEMENTFor more than two decades, my creative practice has naturally blurred the boundaries between art, architecture and design. This multidisciplinary practice investigates the conceptual boundaries of spacial/object structural perspective of my visual art work.
The latest body my work centers on translating the idea of the infinite labyrinth to a two dimensional support, it has become deeply personal. The possibility of representing the labyrinth as infinite is an almost spiritual quest for me where art and architecture become my means of exploration and experimentation. Labyrinth cartographies extends from my desire to understand the boundless. The starting point for this research is my master's thesis, which studies the conceptual framework of Movement across creative disciplines, grounded in the philosophy of the Universe as a constant change, art provides a gateway to the limitless. Does the universe expand outward, or does it fold inward upon itself? The labyrinth is not a structure to be escaped. It is a condition to be inhabited. Mapping an infinite labyrinth is a paradoxical proposition. Cartography seeks to delimit, to draw borders, to fix points; infinity, on the other hand, cannot be delimited. This paradox does not merely dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior; it abolishes hierarchy itself. Can a universe be represented on a surface? Does it expand, fold, or endlessly repeat? This work does not seek to answer, it proposes a continuous space where myth, form, and geometry converge, where multiple questions arise.
